Little Horsted Wins Gold Again!!

For the FOURTH year running, Little Horsted has been awarded the GOLD school games mark. Every year the school submits information about events we have taken part in both inside and out of school, club links and the standards we demonstrate. A panel then looks at this information to decide if we deserve an award. If so, they then closely inspect the information to see which award we deserve. We are delighted that we have earnt the GOLD school games mark for the FOURTH year running, something we are all very proud of.

Keep an eye on this page for updates from our sporting tournaments throughout the year.

The school has also won the Silver Quality Start Award for the first time which recognises provision for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.

Swimming at Little Horsted CE School

Each year the children in Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 receive a module of swimming lessons at Ringmer Academy Swimming Pool. The lessons are taught by qualified swimming instructors with a qualified lifeguard always present during each lesson. Out of our current Year 6, who have received three years of taught swimming lessons all the children are able to swim competently, confidently and profiently over a distance of 25 metres using a range of strokes. They can all perform a safe self rescue in the swimming pool.
