Welcome to Rabbit Class

Rabbit class is the home of Reception children at Little Horsted, and together with the Robins Nursery forms part of our Early Years Village. Mr Sawers is the class teacher, supported by Miss Slaughter, as well as members of the Robins team throughout the week.

We offer a safe, purposeful learning environment where children can thrive.  We support children to become independent and to develop skills, knowledge and understanding across all areas of learning.  Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance documents below:

EYFS Curriculum

Your child will mostly be taught through games and play.

The areas of learning are:

  • communication and language
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • physical development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design
